The Historical Evolution,Current Predicament and Future Direction of the Youth Palace Education Development

Abstract:

After-school education is an important part of the construction of a high-quality education system, and it is also a key part of improving the school, family, and society collaborative education mechanism. As one of the earliest public after-school educational institutions established in China,the development of youth palace education has gone through four stages of development,which involved the start-up period,the prosperity period,the transformation period, and the innovation period. Currently,the youth palace education is facing the dilemma of loose internal structure,loss of human capital, and vague management evaluation,which are caused by the changes in the social environment. Prospecting the future, taking the after-school education governance opportunity,in the process of promoting the construction of a high-quality education system,the youth palace should promote public welfare based on insisting on educational and cultural, explore new forms of curriculum and management in the process of modernization,clarify the relationship of power and responsibility in the policy and regulation system,lead the development of after-school education in strengthening positive publicity.
