On Professional Development of Principals Based on Organizational Support——Research on the Development System of Australian Primary and Secondary School Principals

Abstract:

Basic education are confronting the crisis of the successor of principals, while many countries are seeking the way to solve it. Australia tries to solve the crisis by establishing the professional development standards and corresponding development mechanism of principals, which mainly contains the following: Forming the concept of professional development of principals to provide a broad outline of the development of principals, designing and conducting the professional development system of principals scientifically to promote the development of principals, exerting positive functions of organizations such as educational administration department and school to support the development of principals, leading principals to reflect on practice and improve their development. The significant attempt of Australia will do benefit to China both in strengthening principals team construction and promoting professional development of principals
