Constructing a Modernized Chinese Teacher Education System Under the “Six Force” Framework of Building a Powerful Country in Education

Abstract:

The “Six Forces” proposed by the concept of a powerful country in education—ideological and political leadership,talent competitiveness,scientific and technological support,livelihood security,social coordination,and international influence—serve as the strategic direction and development framework for the modernization of the Chinese-style teacher education system,setting new requirements for its construction. The “Six Forces” call for a teacher education theory that integrates overarching values with disciplinary logic;the construction of a comprehensive and forward-looking teacher education system;and the cultivation of teacher professionalism that combines a strong moral foundation with professional competence. Teacher education must be systematically reformed in line with the connotations of the “Six Forces” to advance the modernization of the Chinese-style teacher education system and lay a solid foundation for building a powerful country in education.
