Abstract:

This paper analyzed the evolution of family structure, function and internal relationship in China through the way of history combing and reality investigation, and concluded that the family structure in China has become increasingly centralized and diversified;family political functions are increasingly transferred, and family economic and cultural functions are gradually transferred to the outside world;and the relationship within the family has also undergone a transformation from simple intergenerational reproduction to expanded value-added reproduction, from“relatives first”to“individuals first”. The above-mentioned evolution of family structure, function, and internal relationship has resulted in family“individual growth”education facing difficulties such as structural breakdown, functional weakening, and relational imbalance, which severely restricts the achievement of the goal of “individual growth”. For this reason, the dilemma of family“individual growth”education needs to be resolved from two aspects of external condition support and internal function adjustment:on the one hand, providing policy support for“re-familyization”from the outside, including clarifying the power boundaries of the main body and formulating a flexible working system; On the other hand, carrying out value selection of“individual growth”from inside, including emphasizing family ethics rather than capital transmission, and emphasizing the“growth”of life rather than the“growth”of talents.

Key words: family change, “individual growth”education, family structure, family function
