On the Development and Logic of American Science Education

Abstract:

Science education is an important content and key way to build a powerful country in science and technology. Domestic academia pays more attention to the evolution of technology and methods of science education in Europe and the United States,and focuses less on the logic of the development of science education in the United States. Through systematic research,it can be seen that since the 19th century,the problem orientation, practice promotion,and value positioning of American science education had been constantly restructured in the development,which had established the development tone of modern and contemporary science education. The development of science education has mainly focused on the value orientation of scientific knowledge ontology,whether it is the technological and methodological science education aimed at controlling nature and promoting industrial renewal,or the cultural science education that uses truth to demonstrate logical procedures and speech methods,or the appreciative science education that advocates empathy,they are all shaping American modern science education explores the relationship between man and science,nature,technology,and culture,and shows a historical logic of the development of science education.
