Abstract:

After the restoration of the college entrance examination system, our country has paid more and more attention to the establishment of college enrollment autonomy and related selection and admission systems. Since the introduction of recommended enrollment in colleges and universities nationwide in 1988,the historical evolution of independent selection and enrollment in colleges and universities can be roughly divided into four stages. The characteristics of its evolution are from unity to autonomy, from single to multiple, from wandering to gradual change. However, there are also problems in the system design, implementation process and assessment standards of independent selection and admission in colleges and universities. Focusing on the present, this study puts forward three suggestions: to ensure the fairness of the process and results, to improve the support and guarantee channels of the Strong Foundation Program, and to enhance the credibility of independent selection and admission. Hope to provide a certain reference for the future reform of independent selection and admission of colleges and universities in China.
