The Constituent Elements and Promotion Path of Rural Teachers’Status

Abstract:

Based on the sociological research perspective,this paper constructed a mediating effect model of multiple chain relationships in the promotion of rural teachers’status,and examined the impact of the constituent elements of rural teachers’status on their overall status improvement and the mechanism of action between the elements,by analyzing the data of 4 885 rural teachers on their perceptions of their status. The results show that:political status plays a central role in the improvement of the overall status of rural teachers;the improvement of political status has a significant positive impact on the improvement of remuneration,professional status,and professional prestige;the improvement of remuneration,professional status,and professional prestige has a significant direct effect on the improvement of the overall status of rural teachers,and has a multi-chain intermediary effect between the political status of rural teachers and the improvement of their overall status. Accordingly,to improve the status of rural teachers,it is necessary to continue to strengthen the political status of rural teachers,improve the remuneration and remuneration guarantee mechanism for rural teachers, continuously improve the professional capabilities of rural teachers and deepen management reforms,and then form a system that takes political status as the core,and remuneration as the guarantee,so as to continuously improve the ecological environment of professional status and professional reputation.
