The Connotative Features,Constituent Elements and Improvement Strategies of the Principal’s Curriculum Leadership from the Interdisciplinary Perspective

Abstract:

Curriculum leadership is the primary ability among the principals’ many duties and abilities. The rapid development of interdisciplinary education provides a new perspective and path for the study of principals’curriculum leadership. The principal’s curriculum leadership from the interdisciplinary perspective refers to the ability of the principal to lead a team of teachers in curriculum design, curriculum development, curriculum organization,curriculum implementation,curriculum management and curriculum evaluation for two or more disciplines, with the features of forward-looking,developmental and influential. It includes interdisciplinary curriculum value understanding,multidisciplinary curriculum content integration, three-dimensional curriculum environment creation,overall curriculum organization and implementation, and targeted curriculum evaluation feedback. To improve curriculum leadership from an interdisciplinary perspective, principals need to reshape the campus culture suitable for interdisciplinary courses, rationally develop the interdisciplinary curriculum system, build a team of teachers who optimize interdisciplinary teaching, and coordinate external support to promote the implementation of interdisciplinary courses.
