Analysis on the Academic Leadership of University Teachers in the Construction of New Liberal Arts

Abstract:

Interdisciplinary cooperation is the fundamental path for promoting the construction of new liberal arts and developing the liberal arts education innovation. However, teachers of liberal arts are faced with such dilemmas as the traditional “single handed” scientific research style, the complicated cooperation in interdisciplinary research, and false collaboration within a research. To solve these dilemmas, demonstrating the effective teachers’ academic leadership throughout the research process is of vital significance. In the practice of new liberal arts construction, the four essential logically operational steps including perspectives leading, goals orientation, continuous promotion and achievement extraction launched by core teachers and leaders in a research team, will have comprehensive influences on the concrete cooperation of other research team members. The overall influence of these links depends on their coherent and self-contained closed-loop operation logic.
