Transcendental Imagination: The Path That Textbook Builds National Image

Abstract:

National image is a transcendental rule outside of the students’ experience. It needs to be reconstructed by imagination to become the cornerstone of national identity and patriotism education. Textbook needs to be positioned in the norms of ideology to shape the image of the country. The choice of content is determined by the orientation of cultural value. The reconstruction of textbook is closely related to the perspective of students. In order to give full play to the educational function of textbook and enhance the centripetal force and cohesion of the country, we should fully consider the influence of non mainstream concepts, effectively integrate different cultural orientations, properly use various expression strategies and consolidate the national cognitive foundation of students.
