A Research on the Integrated Development of Teacher Education under Provincial Government

Abstract:

The integration of pre-service and in-service teacher education has become one of the major strategic themes in the reform and development of teacher education in China. At present, there are still some problems in the process of the reform of the integrative development of teacher education. As the main body responsible for the integrative development of teacher education,the provincial governments face some problems such as the lack of main body status and the poor multi-dimensional linkage management mechanism. In order to solve the problems and promote the development of integrative teacher education, it is suggested that the coordination of provincial governments needs to be strengthened, a coordinative development community needs to be developed, and the integrative teacher education management model driven by provincial government as well as the provincial governments’ participation in universities’ internal governance need to be explored and improved.
