On the Cultural Logic of “Consciousness” in the “Life-Practice” Pedagogy

Abstract:

“Consciousness” is the core concept of “life-practice” pedagogy. On one hand, “consciousness” inherits precious “self-consciousness” of Chinese traditional culture. In the logic of the relationship between humanity and heaven, individuals should follow the heaven and the heart, and realize the unity of heaven rules and man in the process of “becoming man and accomplishing things”. On the other hand, “self-consciousness” draws on the inner logic of the contemporary philosophy of life from the perspective of life-care, attaches importance to the spirit attributes of human beings as a type of life, and demonstrates the rational basis of “consciousness” in contemporary culture. And the above two sources of “consciousness” are unified in the educational practice of “life-practice” pedagogy, which constantly practices and perfects its own cultural logic in practice.
