Contents, Characteristics and Enlightenmentof Australia's Higher Education Risk Assessment

Abstract:

Risk assessment is an important measure of higher educationquality assurance system by Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA). Risk Assessment Framework(RAF) describes the purpose, index system and assessment process of risk assessment. Risk assessment indicators are targeted and feasible. Information can be collected through multiple channels to reduce the burden of higher education providers. Results of risk assessment are kept confidential. The response measures are of necessity and appropriateness. Risk assessments provide reference for other quality assessment measures. Drawing on its experience, China's higher education evaluation should update the concept, enhance the risk awareness of the higher education quality. It is necessary to reform the mechanism to improve the internal division and cooperation of higher education quality assurance system. The database be improved to strengthenhigher education risk monitoring. It is important to strengthen the legislation to enhance the authority and legal effectiveness of higher education quality assessment.
