Abstract:

As a guiding document for developing the digital competence of international Chinese language teachers, the Digital Literacy Reference Framework for International Chinese Language Teachers provides systematic guidance for their digital competence development. Based on the core ideas of the Framework, this paper clarifies the relationship between digital literacy and digital competence, identifies the requirements for developing international Chinese language teachers’ digital competence, and proposes practical strategies at four levels. At the national policy level, an institutional support system should be established; at the organizational level, practice-oriented support platforms should be developed; at the individual level, teachers should actively pursue professional growth strategies; and at the technical support level, a collaborative development ecosystem should be built. Through this four-in-one collaborative pathway, international Chinese language teachers can move from technology application to practice-based innovation, providing a feasible approach to digital competence development in the era of digital intelligence.
