Exploration and Enlightenment on International Cooperation of Japanese Universities in the Early 21stCentury

Abstract:

After 1945, the ministry of culture and science of Japan, Japan international cooperation agency (JICA) and other organizations and institutions have given full support to the promotion of educational research standards, strengthening international competitiveness and promoting social contributions of universities.After the corporatization of the National University of Japan in 2004, the international cooperation promoted by the university has developed in depth. In particular, the national universities have established independent concepts and systems to participate in international cooperation, and carried out various researches, investigations, technology projects as well as the support systems for public institutions and international organizations to actively promote international cooperation.This is just in line with the need of strengthening the international competitiveness of universities in the era of globalization and the contribution of university knowledge in solving global scale problems.When carrying out international cooperation, Chinese universities must fully understand that international cooperation is the objective need for universities to use knowledge resources to solve global problems in the era of globalization; the construction of international cooperation support system of universities is an important path to achieve their social contribution and service functions; the international cooperation of universities should be different among different universities and diversified development.
