Teaching with Filmsin Pre-service Teacher Education Abroad: Analysis of Significance, Themes and Process

Abstract:

Most of the teaching reforms carried out by pre-service teacher education projects are designed to overcome the shortcomings of the traditional transmission-oriented methods, and teaching with films is one of the reform measures. The method of teaching with films can adapt teaching to the cognitive characteristics of pre-service teachers, promote the connection between educational theory and practice, provide a catalyst for pre-service teachers' thinking and discussion, and develop their technology disposition. In pre-service teacher education, teaching with film can be used to teach many themes, and has some flexibility in the teaching process, but also follows some common requirements. The study of teaching with films in pre-service teacher education can provide reference for the reform of pedagogy in pre-service teacher education.
