The Multidimensional Logic, Era Value, and Practice Dimension of the “Double Reduction” Policy Boosting the High-Quality Development of School Physical Education Teaching

Abstract:

The “double reduction” policy, as a school physical education reform, is the fundamental strategy is to improve the quality of physical education in schools. The “double reduction” policy promotes the high-quality development of school physical education and presents a multi-dimensional logic. In political logic, it triggers the direction of the reform of school physical education; in theoretical logic, it is the inheritance and innovation of the Marxist philosophy of “all-round development of human beings”; and in the logic of action, it realized the connotative transformation from “having school to learn” to “learn well at school”. In the new era, the new journey of the “double reduction” policy in promoting the high-quality development of school physical education has the value of “promoting the all-round development of people with the educational concept of ‘health first’, feeding back the quality of school physical education teaching with the effectiveness of after-school delayed sports services, and improving the school physical education teaching evaluation system with the comprehensive and deepening reform of educational supervision,” which determines its practical dimension, that is to establish a “health first” educational concept coordinating social forces; optimize basic elements and improve the quality of school physical education classroom teaching; strengthen governance capabilities and improve after-school extended sports service levels; and focus on physical education for high school and college entrance examinations and improve the school physical education teaching evaluation mechanism.
