Problems and Improvement Strategies of Mental Health Education in Elementary and Secondary Schools in China

Abstract:

Primary and secondary school mental health education is an integral part of school education, and promoting mental health education in primary and middle schools is an important social cornerstone for consolidating a healthy China. However, the development of mental health education in elementary and middle schools in our country is still a little inadequate, showing a clear medical clinical tendency, moral education tendency and empirical education tendency. Mental health education is an integral part of school education. The educational attributes of mental health in primary and secondary schools in our country should be constantly strengthened. We must adhere to the guiding role of mental health education in primary and secondary schools, strengthen the cultural confidence of mental health education in primary and secondary schools in China, and consolidate the cultural heritage of mental health education in primary and secondary schools in our country. In the future, the mental health education in primary and secondary schools in our country will inevitably continue to deepen, and therefore, education-related departments and primary and secondary school management subjects should support on the policy level;the construction of teachers and courses in primary and middle schools should be professional and scientific; and a joint mechanism and a home-school co-education system should be emphasized.
