Abstract:

Thailand has promoted lifelong education since the middle of the 20 th century and has gone through three phases in implementing lifelong education, respectively dominated by adult education, technical and vocational education and training (TVET), and lifelong education for all. Deeply influenced by Sufficiency Economy Philosophy, lifelong education adopts an approach focused on people and aims to promote the overall development of individuals and the sustainable development of the entire country and society. The Thai government has taken measures such as carrying out various education programs, building community learning centers, strengthening educational technology support, and improving the management of lifelong education to promote lifelong education for the whole people and build a learning society. Under the background of the continuous development of One Belt And One Road (OBOR) construction, it is of great significance to understand and grasp the development and trend of lifelong education in Thailand for promoting people-to-people exchanges through educational cooperation and building a future-oriented OBOR education community.
