Abstract:

The utopian identity construction of teachers is to be as free and independent as the Pre-Qin scholars in individual personality, possess a socially high status like the Qin and Han officials, live a kind of free and easy daily life as the famous scholars in Wei and Jin Dynasty, and be wealthy like today's economic giants. However, due to the specialization and refinement of the social division of labor, the nationalization of education, the socialization of the teacher's profession, and the instinct of human beings to be recognized, the current teachers are destined to be no longer as professionally changeable and politically relevant to the dominant class as the previous scholars, andthey have to obtain its survival resources through fierce competition. The normal way for the effective construction of teacher identity has been wrecked and broken during the process of their real construction, forcing teacher identity construction to be an ideal utopia. In order to stand up in the world logically and harmoniously, teachers should uphold their ambitions, foster their loyalty, maintain healthy intentions to constantly pursue excellence, and maintain a belief of serving the world when they are successful and self-improving when they are at a disadvantage conditionin the process.
