Abstract:

Based on 19 general regulations of enrollment for Ed.D in Chinese Language International Education as research samples, this paper conducted a text analysis on the content of basic information, application conditions, testing methods, audit criteria, scoring methods and supervision. The findings of this study are as following:the titles of the major are not consistent with the requirements of the document;the application conditions are relatively strict, and the requirements of some specific conditions are unreasonable;the written examination and interview fail to be organically combined in comprehensively identifying the abilities of candidates;the audit standard and scoring method are vague, subjective and arbitrary; and the lack of supervision mechanism causes the lack of fairness and justice in the selection of talents.Based on these problems, some suggestions are put forward: sticking to the characteristics of development, and speed up the optimization of enrollment and training; strictly controlling the entry threshold, and change some hard conditions of application into flexible conditions; adopting diversified testing methods to assess the comprehensive quality of candidates in an all-rounded way; prudently setting audit standards, and strengthen the standardization and efficiency of scoring; and improving the supervision mechanism to ensure openness, fairness and impartiality of the enrollment process.
